Today is Wednesday. "Hump day" we so aptly call it in the States. Maybe its the honeymoon stages of my internship, but I don't necessarily have that "I can't wait till Friday" feeling. Today was a pretty important day I would say. A few memorable things happened.
I can already tell my time is going by very quickly here. This Friday will officially mark the quarter way point. I arrived almost 2 weeks ago, with little idea of what would be in store for me. My first week was spent getting lost, learning the metro system, and picking up on the Spanish vernacular. Wait, who am I kidding, I´m still doing that! The metro in Madrid is great. Supposedly the best in Europe and I believe it. Not only is it affordable (1 Euro each ride) but it is always on time and takes me wherever I need to go in the city in less than a half hour.
I'll have to make this blog a quick one because Spain is playing for the second time in the World Cup in exactly one hour. My new colleagues at my internship have me on the email pool and have been inviting me to do things with them which is really exciting. So I'm about to head over to one of their houses to watch the game! Last Friday, one woman invited me to her house to spend the day at the pool.
Greetings fellow blog readers. My name is Teresa Todoroff. I'm a recently graduated (and by recently I mean RECENTLY) 22-year-old from the University of San Francisco. In May 2010 I received my bachelor's degree in International Business and now the time has come to journey off into the "adult" world it would seem. I have had a variety of internship and volunteering/studying abroad experiences, but I have yet to actually WORK or INTERN on the international level as I would have hoped. Luckily, Intrax has afforded me this incredible opportunity and I am much looking forward to it.
