It's been a whirlwind summer, with my internship in Paris followed by three weeks of traveling around the UK, Spain, and Italy, but I am finally back home in San Francisco wondering is it over already and, did all of that really happen? When my friends and family ask, how was your summer, I struggle to find the words to sum everything up in a few sentences other than "it was great!"

I've been very busy the last few weeks, with my internship, weekend trips, and trying to take advantage of all the amazing things this city has to offer while I'm here for this short time. It been fun but also very exhausting!

 There was nothing more perfect than escaping the sweltering Paris heat for a relaxing weekend by the beach. I was invited by some family friends to spend the weekend at their summer house in Val d'Andres, a tiny town on the coast of Bretagne in north-western France.

Between the long day of travel, orientation, Global Skills training, three full days at my new internship, a fondu dinner with the group, and a day of champagne tasting in Reims, it's been one incredibly busy week!

In just a couple days I will be on my way to Paris, my favorite city in the world (after San Francisco, of course). Where did the time go? It was about 9 months ago that I first discovered the internship opportunities offered through Intrax. I had finished my BA in global economics at UC Santa Cruz and I was living back at home in San Francisco, trying to figure out what to do with my life next.
