I'm writing this post from home in Atlanta however in my mind I feel like I'm still in Paris and that I should set my alarm to wake up to go to work the next day. I had gotten so used to everything Parisian that it's going to take some time to adjust...also it seems that I've adjusted a tad too much since I seem to think I'm still typing using a french keyboard.
Now that there's only 1 week left before I head back home to Atlanta it's starting to hit me how much I will miss Paris. It seems that I've finally gotten used to the Parisian rhythm of life and now it's time to bid farewell to the city of sights and to take advantage of every remaining hour.
I realize that it's been a while since I last blogged and I'm sure you're getting antsy and wondering what we've been upto here in Paris lately. Well other than getting used to the french keyboards at our internships and still managing to getlost in the city, you should be happy to hear that we are having a wonderful and informative time. I stress the informative part.
It's been 2 weeks so far since I arrived in Paris and it's starting to feel like a home away from home. Other than the constant reminder that everything closes early (which can get quite frustrating) compared to in the U.S., I've still managed to stuff myself with delicious food and have a great time in the city as well as a great internship. I'm interning at Vertone Consulting, a French private consulting company located on rue de la Boetie which is right off les Champs d'Elysees.
I felt it would be relevant and extremely important to post some photos of what we've been upto so far so not only can my family stalk my online shenanigans ;) but so everyone has a chance to see what great places we've been visiting!
Our 2-day orientation has just come to an end and everyone is now busy in their rooms preparing for their first days at their internships. After having climbed a ridiculous amount of stairs to reach our restaurant , our bellies were surely ready to be treated to a delicious 3 course dinner and our feet were certainly excited to finally get some rest. Paris is no joke.
