Architecture Intern
BauWerke was founded in Berlin in 2000 as the heart of an interdisciplinary network of architects, urban designers, engineers, designers and other specialists who are involved in the construction process. Projects serviced by BauWerke can be found in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Ireland, China and the US. The firm focuses on architectural projects for public contracts such as embassies and airports, among others.
Intern candidates should have a minimum of two years of studies in architecture or closely related field, as well as knowledge of architectural/ engineering CAD software (such as AutoCAD) and other design related software (e.g. Photoshop). Creativity, an aptitude for visual conceptualization, enthusiasm about design, and a "can-do" attitude are also critical.
Interns will work closely with senior mentors, supporting their work as well as the day-to-day operations and projects of an international architectural firm. Depending on the intern’s background and skills, s/he will be assigned to specific duties such as designing, planning, or similar tasks.
BauWerke is a relatively small firm with a large network of associated companies allowing interns to both work in a small team but also get to know architectural projects on a large, international scale.
As an internationally-focused company with an office in London and many projects in Austria, Poland, Switzerland, the UK and elsewhere, BauWerke strives to also work with international talent.
