
Media Intern
Founded in 1872, the Mainichi Newspapers currently publishes over 3.8 million newspapers each day and has an international network of 26 overseas bureaus. Mainichi has won the Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association award many times and is famous for its journalistic integrity.
- Interest in the newspaper/media business
- Some experience in cross-cultural exchange
- Good Japanese verbal communication skills. Participants with more advanced Japanese will be able to take on more challenging projects
- PC skills, such as MS-Word/Excel required
- Good team spirit and cheerful personality
The media intern will support the news team by editing articles for Japanese-English news on the website. The intern will join the “Campal” editorial team organized by university students and will plan, report and edit their newspaper and website. Finally, the intern will support and help organize company events.
The intern will gain a full experience of the Japanese newspaper and media industry. S/he will cultivate international business acumen by working in a global news team and improving Japanese communication and cultural competency.
The company staff will welcome the intern’s fresh point of view through regular communication in order to collaboratively generate innovative ideas and build new perspectives.
