
Marketing Intern
Ryugaku Journal Inc. promotes cultural exchange through education, counseling, research and publishing. A private counseling and placement organization founded in 1971, Ryugaku Journal serves as a liaison to Japanese students who wish to study abroad and for professionals working in international education. Ryugaku Journal is a magazine widely read by students and professionals of all ages in Japan.
- Interest in the study abroad industry
- Some experience in cross-cultural exchange
- Good communication skills
- PC skills, such as MS-Word/Excel
- Good team spirit and cheerful personality
The intern will support editorial work including research and translation from Japanese to English. S/he will coordinate events for university students and have the chance to present US university life and culture for potential customer as part of his/her Sales & Marketing training.
The intern will gain knowledge of Japanese publishing and the cultural exchange sector and will have the chance to propose new sales and marketing ideas. The intern will collaborate with co-workers with international backgrounds and varied English and Japanese language skills.
The company staff will welcome the intern’s fresh point of view through regular communication in order to generate new marketing ideas. The company will also benefit from the intern’s research focused on North American universities and schools.
