
Online Marketing and Web Content Management Intern
The Potsdam University Botanical Garderns is a group committed to the preservation of native wild plants and the promotion of its overall importance to the local communities. The group, Erhaltungskulturen einheimischer Wildpflanzen is a part of the Association of Botanical Gardens, coordinating numerous botanical gardens' activities throughout Germany. The Botanical Gardens themselves were created on the grounds of the former terraces of the royal gardens of Sanssouci Park and are home to almost 9,000 species of plants.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills
- Ability to work independently within a small, academic environment
- Eager to take on resposibility and show initiative
- Strong command of the German language
- Ability to translate general and technical text from German into English
- Translation of the Botanical Garden's marketing and informational materials on native plant preservation
- Assisting the Curator in day-to-day tasks
- Participate in local events related to preservation of the local biological diversity.
This internship is ideal for someone who has a passion for nature preservation and learning more about online marketing. Interns will have the chance to support several projects and gain experience in web content management, translating and marketing, all relating to the preservation of native, local environments.
The Botanical Garden is very interested in a native English speaker to contribute to the launch of their website in English and add a fresh perspective in ways to inform the public on the importance of wild plant preservation.
