
Marketing and Product Management Intern
PathMotion is a next-generation career planning web site. The international team is composed of former strategy consultants and serial Internet entrepreneurs, and the office is bilingual. Depending on skills and interests, the Intern will have a marketing focus to support the site launch and/or a product focus to develop and implement various technical and data projects. To date, PathMotion has hosted interns from Berkeley, Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, Wharton, and Yale.
- Any degree specialization.
- Desire to learn how to launch a website
- Excellent written English with the sensitivity to use editorial tone and voice to shape the PathMotion brand
- Ability to summarise a value proposition and pitch a product
- Should be an avid Internet content consumer and participant (RSS, blogs, Facebook, Twitter)
- Maturity and flexibility to help with product needs and bug checking during crunch periods
- Can think creatively and analytically about data and find patterns
- Knowledge of UK higher education market is a plus
- Act as a junior product manager for marketing operations (e.g. design of a Facebook app, preparation and implementation of an online marketing campaign, develop process and tools for community management)
- Develop sales pitch documents for clients.
- Define criteria, research metrics, and calculate target list of best prospects.
- Track impressions, site usage, and conversion rates.
- Contribute to product improvement: Bug checking, development of content, help in new feature identification and development, etc.
The intern will gain unparalleled insight into the workings of an Internet start-up with a sterling track record of hosting interns. The intern will have the unique opportunity to conceive, test, and market a product designed for his/her peers. S/he will also get first hand exposure to launching a business focused on the career path of a young professional.
