Internship Description:
Planet Positive provides an internationally recognized mark of certification to businesses, buildings, products and services with a commitment to reduce their carbon footprint year over year. While larger firms have developed their own carbon reduction strategies, Planet Positive aims to make sustainable business practices accessible and affordable for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Skill & Experience Required:
Planet Positive interns should be bright, self starters who have a passion in sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
Ideal interns will have:
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental issues
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Positive nature, reflected in both interpersonal and phone skills
Sample Projects:
The Carbon Footprint Auditing Intern will learn how to measure carbon footprints, contact and develop the client base, creating and verifying carbon footprint reports. Interns will continually work to improve clients’ reduction options portfolio, promoting more ways in which clients can reduce their footprints, while still improving their bottom line and public image. This all leads to the development of the Business Network of Planet Positive certified companies.

Broadly transferrable skills include sales & client management experience (using Salesforce.com database), data analysis and report writing, template design & modification, marketing content creation, project development, and close work with senior management.
