
Photographer Intern
Founded in 1991, The Santiago Times is a pioneering, Internet- based newspaper serving English speakers and international visitors from around the world. From the 2010 earthquake to the state of the glaciers and the latest mining deal, The Santiago Times is most often the international paper of record on all matters related to Chile.
- Ability to capture events, protests, personalities through photography
- Basic working knowledge of photo-editing programs
- Ability to work independently or alongside reporters
- Ability to submit work on a deadline
- Interest in Latin American and current events, news, culture in Chile
Typical projects may include:
- Photograph press conferences, protests, meetings, concerts, parades etc.
- Develop photo essays on current events
- Contribute to development of stock image bank for newspaper’s daily use
Opportunity to improve photography skills and gain access to important events and top players in Chile, receive feedback from editorial team and develop bilingual language skills while participating in a collaborative office environment.
Interns offer a fresh perspective to a company with years of experience operating in Chile, and are given responsibilities similar to any part of the team.
