
Sales and Marketing Intern
Founded in 1991, The Santiago Times is a pioneering, Internet- based newspaper serving English speakers and international visitors from around the world. From the 2010 earthquake to the state of the glaciers and the latest mining deal, The Santiago Times is most often the international paper of record on all matters related to Chile.
- A high intermediate level of Spanish and English
- Interest in marketing strategy or sales
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills
- Professional attitude and willingness to work independently
- Interest in Latin American and journalism a plus
Typical projects may include:
- Developing PowerPoint presentations for potential clients or partners
- Brainstorming new audiences for newspaper and organize a strategic plan to contact possible audiences and pitch newspaper subscriptions
- Working alongside management in developing business contacts and networks
- Drafting letters and directly contacting potential advertisers and subscribers
Opportunity to improve sales and marketing skills, knowledge of Chile and Latin America, and develop bilingual language skills while participating in a collaborative office environment.
Interns offer a fresh perspective to a company with years of experience operating in Chile, and are given responsibilities similar to any part of the team.
